NextSoftwareStack respects your privacy. This policy explains what information may be collected when you use our website and how it is handled.
Information we collect
We may collect basic technical data such as browser type, device type, referring pages, and aggregated usage information. When you participate in a community comparison poll, we process your product selection, stated product experience, optional use case, optional display name, optional comment, submission time, and moderation status.
Community participation and fraud prevention
We store a randomly generated browser identifier in local storage to prevent repeated voting and allow a reader to update a previous selection. We transform that identifier into a pseudonymous hash before storing it. Cloudflare may process IP address, browser, device, and challenge information to provide Turnstile verification, rate limiting, security, and delivery services. NextSoftwareStack does not store raw IP addresses in the community database. Short-lived pseudonymous security hashes may be used to enforce daily participation limits.
How we use community data
We use participation data to calculate preference totals, prevent manipulation, moderate submissions, publish approved reader perspectives, investigate abuse, and improve our software research. Community preference results remain separate from editorial ratings and are not presented as verified product star ratings.
Moderation and publication
Votes may be included in aggregated totals immediately. Comments are reviewed before publication. If approved, a comment, display name, use case, experience label, and publication date may be displayed publicly. Do not submit confidential, sensitive, or identifying information that you do not want published.

Data sharing and processors
We do not sell personal information. Cloudflare processes limited technical and community data to host the website, operate the database, deliver content, and prevent automated abuse. Other service providers may process limited data when necessary to operate or measure the website, subject to appropriate safeguards.
Retention
Approved comments and their associated votes may be retained while they remain useful to readers. Rejected comments are normally removed after 90 days, pending comments after 180 days, and pseudonymous rate-limit records after seven days. Pseudonymous voting identifiers may be retained longer to preserve poll integrity. We may retain information longer when required for security, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.
Your choices and requests
You can decline to participate in community polls and can remove the local browser identifier through your browser storage settings. You may request access, correction, or deletion of a published community contribution by contacting us with enough information to identify the submission. Applicable rights vary by jurisdiction.
Children
NextSoftwareStack is intended for business and professional audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International processing
Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, appropriate contractual or legal safeguards are used for international transfers.
